Part 2: From Ovulation to Conception and Fertilization of the OvumUploader: Shakakus 4 month ago Subscribe 1
An epic birth story. What are the most common first signs of pregnancy? Ovulation can be delayed or disrupted by illness, insomnia, travel, stress, or hormonal imbalances. As a fertility sign, observing changes in the amount and quality of cervical mucus is a great ovulation prediction method. The ovum is covered by a protective field known as the zona pellucida, and in order for fertilization to take place, sperm cells must find a keyhole or receptor to unlock the zona pellucida, gain entrance, and burrow their way to the oocyte, the genetic core of the ovum. If you notice that your "period" seems way shorter or different from usual, it may be a sign of pregnancy.
